Old Church camp permission

Just got permission to hunt an 1940's church camp grounds. Spent 1 hour so far. Found metal soda cans pre-tab / church key style. Found 60's era pull tabs, some bottle tops with cork still in them and a 1941 D wheatie. Can't wait to get back there. Oh yeah, and a whole heap of trash too. Slaw, glass, wire etc.

Awesome. Are you going to cruise it high disc. to cherry-pick for silver ? Or are you going to be a hero and angle for a gold ring amidst the tabs ? Since it's only 1940s (and therefore nickels a non-issue), I'd be tempted to just cruise for silver/copper. Except if there were a swim area then perhaps I'd switch into relic/beach mode angling for low conductors.

Nickels are always an issue if you want to grab gold , I say go for all of it ! Yeah there will be a lot of soda related trash , but with all the activity at a camp like that I'd be hunting in all metal mode (full metal jacket ! ) happy hunting !!
