I found this last year and lost it in the woods by accident and just rediscovered it. I also found a hubcap with a design I don't recognize and an old tea kettle that I will post later. I eyeballed all these finds. I think the hubcap is from the 60's. Any help will be appreciated!

You'll never find the rest of the Vette with h a metal detector. They're fiberglass. :laughing7: Kidding!
:laughing7:

Not absolutely sure but from what I recall in my dim memory I think that's about a 1960-61 Impala or Chevy Biscayne hubcap.

1959 C1 Corvette hubcap. Left overs made it on some 1960 models.

Same here! I wish I had my detector to try to find more hubcaps that were buried or part of the car.

Thank you! I am just wondering why they would put a Corvette hubcap on a GM car that isn't a Corvette? I don't know a lot about cars, so I was just curious.

That would be awesome! I can't wait to hang this on my wall with my other hubcaps and license plates! Thanks for the help.

I'm only going by memory and not electronic research which I'm poor at but I was thinking all the Corvettes had the checkered flag painted red and white as did the Impala Super Sports but reg Impalas were black and crome (metal color).I paid attention to that stuff in my younger day but now accurate memory alludes me.lol

I remember Impala Super Sports having hub caps like that. My brother had one with them...

Thank you for the help. I never even thought about that! I believe you are correct after doing some research. I am young and wish I could have been around in the U.S. during the glory days.
