Hello, hunted today at the fairground park about 3 hours , this place has been hunted heavily since the fair left, but still managed to find, , a heart pendant, a cross pendant, and a pin with a four leaf clover, ---non keep stuff, old destroyed glasses looks like a large pellet or small arrowhead, also found a live 30-30 shell, broken ornate small lock, can't believe how many shells i find in town parks, the 3 jewlery pieces today makes my count up to 10 for the year, happy hunting later tg

I don't think that's a brooch. I believe it may be an old twisted frame of a pair of spectacles. You're looking at the nose piece with its characteristic metal post encased inside.

Great finds. You would be surprised how many bullets turn up detecting in the city, even in tot lots. Way to go!

Nice finds, TG! I had to look several times at the "strange thing" once BB mentioned old glasses, I could see what it was. That's why it's fun digging these things and trying to figure out what it once was. The pin with the 4 clovers is a 4-H Club pin.
