It has a picture of a crown or something with the letters VR on it. The name A. Thompson is also on it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

British padlock... the VR means it was made during Queen Victoria's time. (Victoria Regina)

The maker is Abraham Thompson, 28 Temple Bar, Willenhall, England, c. 1831-1912. The lock probably dates 1850's-70's.
