Old Logging Trails?

Have any of you hunted old logging trails? I just did some research, and found a few near my home. They would have been logged in the early 1900's. I just want to know if its worth putting in the work of searching them. Thanks!

Yes, Horse shoe paradise. Just about everything I have found along these trails have been iron so, don't eliminate it.

Have many logging roads/trails here and iron, shotgun shells, other ammo cases.........barb wire and the occassional plow or part.......BUT sometimes the trails can be old roads and that may present a different situation........Good luck!

It means that people traveled the are by horse . Back then then coins were Silver!
Hopefully u have a detector that can ignore the iron.

Horse shoes, better than brake shoes. Horse shoes date it old for me.

Hi, I found a horseshoe out on an old forest road. You can tell it was hand forged because nothing is even. I would like to find out if anyone know what it is. I did research and found out it has caulkins on it. I am new so I am trying to figure this out. I am in Carrabelle Florida and back in the 1700-1800 there were a lot of logging companies in this area.

Ya my great uncle in maine has over 75 acres of old logging roads I hunt those once in a great while when I visit ya alot of horse shoes & many other things tools Ive found old saw bars lighters u never know out there, there worth a shot
