Hi Guys

Out today for a run as it was sunny and +3.... lasted for 3 hrs then the wind came up strong and sun went in.

The old military button was found by my hunting bud.... very nice... this pic is as it was uncleaned.

Crown with cross at the top is very interesting... first I,ve seen anywhere .....edges are perfect with no cracks.

Can anyone please ID this button ?

Found the pistol guard at about 8 inches.... happy to have that piece !

Found the ring in very slimy mud at the edge of the rocks meeting the mud. Has what appears to be 2 diamonds. Nice bonus.!!!

Ring has CORONA 10K on the inside of the band....but is black all over.....cleaned it some and appears to be gold color coming out on the band. Will soak it over night in cleaner.
Must be very low quality gold. ??

Ty Iron horse.... so far so good...I,m startig to like saltwaer hunting !!!!

What kinda cleaner would you use to shine up the trigger guard... or would you just leave it as is ?

I'm not the cleaning guy, I like 'em with that out-of-the-ground look that can only be accomplished by a couple of hundred years in the ground. I feel the character of it is fine the way it is, and should display well regardless.

HI ZDD

TY...and ya IP is the ID guy..no doubt !!

Another hunt woud be fun also !! Look forward to it if you guys want some company again.

I,ll trade ya...you find the button and i,ll find the nice grape shot.

If you want some scallops when you come this way..let me know couple days before so I can go to the plant and round em up--make sure they are fresh.

41.6% gold and Corona is in fact a Canadian company. Another good hunt buddy. The gun piece is really nice. That button is awesome too

ty for the info on the ring....why did it turn solid black ?

wife just cleaned it somemore fater soaking...is definitely gold...is cleaning u beautifully..

Not a great ring by any means..but is only my 2nd one....so I,m happy....kinda strange place to find it tho....50 feet from the button and trigger guard.

Can't answer the black ring question. But I assume the less percentage of gold the higher the chance of the other metals having a reaction that can change the color. And buddy, I have no idea how things end up in the strange places they do? But that's what I love about this whole detecting thing. You always have a chance of finding anything anywhere. That's which it's so exciting and fun . No rules in this game my man :-)

Nice one, button, and hunt.

The gook on the ring is probably just that same stinky sticky clay glue stuff.
