Hey everyone,
Hope you are all getting out in these cooler temps. I know I have been. But not as much as I would like to be hunting. Weekends are the only time I can get out any more. And time is limited then to. I would like to take one nice 8 hr day though and hunt this place. I bet I could pull about 10 to 15 silvers in a 8 hr hunt.
This whole take you see here isn't a whole lotta time spent in the field. Maybe 10 hrs. Silver has been starting to show it's face more than once though per outing. As soon as things die off I'll really have some goods to show.
I got nice spots but they are ruff. I had so many chiggers on me Saturday it was rediculous. I basically had to throw all my clothes away. But I had to get that silver right. I've been scouring over a park where there is alot of targets left behind.
I've been carefully listening closely to the deep chirp of the Dfx telling me there may be silver down there. I have came up with alot of coins past the 6 inch mark. It almost seems like I've been the deepest hunter here so far over the yrs. It's been hunted alot by the lack of good strong signals I don't come by to often.
Enough of the park and onto the finds. Don't take this the wrong way but nothing to old and nothing to rare. I like to be touching back atleast pre 1900 on finds. But time and lack of researching I'll have to settle for 1900 to 1950 finds.
Scored alot of nice mercs. This place is known to put out alot of them. Although a barber does jump into the pouch here and there. Any silver is fun to find. But alot less excitement from a rosie to a barber. I did get a neat little 5 cent token. And a nice 36 buff.
I had some more pics but my camera is acting funny so I missed a few. Had a nice 20 old coin day in 3 hrs last week. But the pic won't come off the camera. I could have shown you them straight from the ground. But they are up there cleaned.
I did however get this funny little but heavy piece of silver with a diamond in the center. Is this some sort of cuff link. It's marked 925 on the back. It's a 2 piece welded together by 4 bars on each corner. It slide onto something.
It was deep around 8 inches or so on a hard packed path. I love finding deep misses. Got 2 indian heads a 02 and a 83. Got a 09 wheat and a 18 D. Other than that just some relics. Did get a cool little lead press for small portable engines. But in the recovery the top thin layer of bronze or copper got pealed.
It was down really deep because of the weight of it. I scratched it being lazy not thinking it was something. Gave a strange signal and was about a foot deep.
Once again thanks for looking

I ventured out without my Cutters a while back and the mosquitos ate me alive and I finally had to quit hunting and go home and put some anti-itch medicine on. I keep a spray can of 40% deet Cutters in the car at all times now. Great finds as usual. I haven't met anyone who knows the DFX and can run it as well as you do. I depend on luck where you depend on skill and it makes me feel humble. Keep at it my friend. Monty
