I took a ride back to the woods today and found this Police badge. I covered the badge Number in the Pics and will call the police tomorrow to see if it is crime related. I was wearing gloves when I handled it and put it in a plastic bag just in case.
Anybody know about how old this style of badge might be. TIA
Good hunting to all

Thanks to all and special thanks to MSgt for the info on the badge.
It is a C H Hanson badge.

ooo ooo, thats like "CAR 54 WHERE ARE YOU" stuff

They might have to go to the archives in the basement to look that one up.
Nice find

Re: Old Badge--Response from JPD

Thats great to hear. If you put it on ebay let us know, my older brother has been collecting badges and patches for over 20 years and would love a shot at getting it. He's a Lt on the Washington State patrol. A few of the guys I now work with here in AZ DPS also collect.

Thanks for sharing that Merf!

I bet that would look great displayed... might look nice hanging there in their station!

Nicely cleaned and great pics... well done. :)

Nice find Merf

The company that made that badge is still in business. They moved from Franklin Park to I believe Naperville area about 4-5 years ago. It is the same company that now make tools and misc metal things. I have a 1906
Chicago Electrical Show Coin I found last year made by them.

Cool badge Merf. Any of my finds that are valued more than $200 are sold. So far I have sold zero. ::) :D
