Old War Button?

[americanartifacts33]

I found this button metal detecting in an old park. Could this be a civil war button? The lettering on the reverse from what I can read said at least "waterbury co's"

Any ID help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Looks like a general service button CW era. Nice find
