Old Watch Fob found

The watch fob says (Improved Order of Redmen) still has some glint on it, i found this yesterday along a little creek 1 mile form my home.Then the weather went sour snowing and blowin so i didn`t hunt long.

A friend of mine just told me there is a building in downtown Watkins Glen N.Y. with this name Improved Order of Redmen on it he said it was something like the Elks,Moose, that kind of club now defunked.

I found out that my watch fob Improved Order of Redmen is America`s Oldest Fraternal Organization traces it`s origins back to 1765 and is descenended from (The Sons of Liberty)
after the War of 1812 the name was changed to the Soceity of Redmen and in 1834 to the Improved Order of Redmen. They keep the customs and terminology of Native Americans as a basic part of the farterinty. The watch fob is valued around $65.00 1900-1910
and have councils in CA. DE. IN. IA. ME. MD. MA. MN. NY. NJ. NC. OH. PA VA. WA. WV.
