Hi "Got something wrong with your metric scales" Might try some new batteries or a new set.

Theres 31 grams to a troy oz so your nugget at 2 1/2 ozs should come up to 77.5 grams on your metric scales. 2.49 is not an imperial measurement and your pic in gold forum is 45.5 Now i,m really comfused.

theres 50 pennyweight = 2 1/2 ozs 2.49 is not an imperial measurement for 2.1/2 ozs nor is 45.5 pennyweights = 2 1/2 metric scales with a graduation of a 10th of gram are very accurate. Something wrong with the scales.

Wow, :o

Who cares how much it weighs or what its value is... :dontknow: A specimen like that is amazing no matter the size. :headbang:

Keep @ it and HH !! ;D :D

Just got home from 6 days in the field. The scale in the pic is mine and the 2.49 pic the scale was set to OZ it weighted 2.50 before I washed it.. The other was set to pennyweights. I have a grain scale thats pretty accurate I have to get it out and check it against thhat.

Wow, congrats on your gold nugget. Must have got you super excited scoring that one.

Best of luck to you in your future hunts, keep at it :)

That should help with gas money... very nice... :hello2:
