Well heres a 2 and a half ounce nugget I detected this past weekend in Arizona.
Surely doesn't happen very often.
Nice nugget what a great find !!!!!! I do a little Gold panning in West Virginia, nuggets like that keep me inspired.Great job saving history one piece at a time.

theres 50 pennyweight = 2 1/2 ozs 2.49 is not an imperial measurement for 2.1/2 ozs nor is 45.5 pennyweights = 2 1/2 metric scales with a graduation of a 10th of gram are very accurate. Something wrong with the scales.

tinpan

Wow, :o

Who cares how much it weighs or what its value is... :dontknow: A specimen like that is amazing no matter the size. :headbang:

Keep @ it and HH !! ;D :D

Just got home from 6 days in the field. The scale in the pic is mine and the 2.49 pic the scale was set to OZ it weighted 2.50 before I washed it.. The other was set to pennyweights. I have a grain scale thats pretty accurate I have to get it out and check it against thhat.

Wow, congrats on your gold nugget. Must have got you super excited scoring that one.

Best of luck to you in your future hunts, keep at it :)

That should help with gas money... very nice... :hello2:
