a couple of things come to mind.. Is your computer up to date with ALL microsoft patches? If not there are several time zone / date problems. One thing you can check is your actual date and time. ( not sure if you have done that yet. do you have Daylight savings on or off? Is this isolated just to TNET or if you post on another site is it the same?
Let me know

I am up to date with everything...Microsoft, Windows XP, AntiVirus. Matter of fact my computer guy was out last Sunday to clean my computer. I downloaded stuff and couldn't get them completely removed. He checked then to make sure everything was up to date.

I do belong to another forum site and everything in that site is fine with date and time. The date and time on my computer is also correct.

Well that rules out browser settings also. Are both your and your son's accounts new ones or is yours an older one? 1st thought was maybe a safety feature on the server if it's recognizing 2 separate accounts under one IP and blocking one. :icon_scratch: Sorry starting to grasp at straws.. :-\

I didn't make a name for my son until 1 day after this problem started. The only reason I made a name for him was to see if it worked and to compare the look and layout between his account and mine. They are both the same.

Strange....
I had to go back 53+(?) pages in the archives (2007) to find the "mud" post. After exiting the board and then going back to Today's Finds, it took me back to the 2007 pages (not Today's posts.)

I had to reset these to get things back to 'normal':
=Post-Date Filter= =Topic/Post Filter= (Saved) 20 Per Page = Reset

You might give it a try (can't hurt.) The only other thing I can suggest is to delete the TN cookies from your cookie file, and then sign in again....

GL!

maybe someone should explain how to do that
in case she needs directions

Viewing Filter set to Over 365 days - Selectable

But please explain to me why the filters only show up on some of the forums.

Is the visibility only triggered once the forum reaches a 'critical mass' of posts?

For example, it doesn't show at the bottom of this forum yet. It does show on the bottom of the page on todays finds, and at the bottom of the page on test, but not here. There must be a trigger such as 200 posts or something that causes it become visible.

If it was always on, these fine folks would have found it a lot sooner, cause they'd have been playing with it all the time.....

:)

Come back & Tell me where all the Good Finds were

We'll go Get 'm First
;D

WOOOHOOOOO I am back to present time.

Firs of all I want to thank Jeff, Bill, Stoney and Just for all of your help. Sorry if I missed a name, if I did thanks to you too.

I was asked in PM if I had a mischevious son that could have changed the filters. I will be honest, it was ME! I was up for almost 24 hours from Christmas Eve to the early hours of Christmas Day, 4-5am. I guess I was exploring in the site and did something I shouldn't have and messed me up.

I am still trying to find the good finds myself Jeff. All I ever find is nails, pull tabs and foil.

Thanks again to everyone that helped me.

Sue

Thanks Just, I am glad to be back too.

That was the other name I forgot, Zephyr, thanks for helping figure this out too.

But being Computer Illiterate till I came here in '03,

Typical of America, play a big supporting role....... :)

Jeff, thanks but Zephyr's note at 1:xx AM was the fix. I didn't see it till after, but it was definitely the earliest real solution.

Just glad to see she's back on correctly.

Yes, it was BillKY that got it fixed, with the help of Z. Sorry can't remember full name.

Now with me back to normal, or I should say TNet, since I will never be normal. I am off to look at the boards since I have some time to myself.

Sue

Glad it worked! I usually only find things by accident. At least I didn't make anything go from bad to worse (that's something else I seem to be good at. ;D)

:D
