I'm started to see a preview of next years hunts , I'm running out of schools and parks to hunt :'( . I'm re hunting schools that I have hunted many times hoping for that gold and silver but it is getting harder . I have been spoiled for a long time ;D . I hunted three local schools this weekend and the one closest to my house I found a weekend saving silver :headbang: . I can't believe I missed this one in the past , only 2 inches and a very loud +85 VDI on my M6 . It was a 1964 Washington . I did get one more ring , a junk mood ring #135 for the year . Other good finds were this morning , a 1956 D Wheat cent and a 1995 Kennedy half . Total clad for 6 hours is $24.16 .

Good job on that silver quarter! :icon_thumleft:

"I'm running out of schools and parks to hunt."

Been there ..done that!

This is my main reason for driving down to S.F. every Saturday. Santa Rosa and the surrounding area has been pounded to death. It's still not easy in S.F. You have to be creative with your selections. The last three years I've been staying out of the obvious areas. I'm concentrating on the median strips, the weed infested areas, in and around overgrown bush areas, construction sites, etc. Last year I spent one whole day walking Golden Gate Park with a note pad taking notes on all those hidden no man areas. It has paid off! Think out of the box!

Thanks for the advice . I have been metal detecting for 14 years and as a kid in the late 70's and have always hunted schools and parks . I would love to hunt some old lots or other older areas !
