Went back out to a couple hunted out parks and was rewarded with my first silver quarter. I guess someone before me missed this silver. I also managed 4 wheaties (42,40,??,??) The quarter was found under a tree near a main path, so maybe it wasnt in the "middle" that I see most people get drawn and was missed.

Nice job on the silver Storm.
Way to go!

Great find.

I believe that hunted-out parks can never be truly exhausted of its valuables. Keepers just become harder to find.

Way to go!

Very nice Silver. It looks like George still has a lot of his hair left. My guess is that it was not in circulation long before it was dropped. Just a guess. Anyways, Congrats.

As long as you are finding wheats there is a good chance for silver. It's always nice to find silver quarters. :) Congratulations on a first.

Now that you spent some time with the SE, how do you like it?

Overall I am happy with the SE.  There is a falsing issue that we are working out.  My hunting buddy sold his EX2 and got an SE with the new slimline coil.  He said that he never had any falsing issues with his EX2.  So he ordered another EX2 for a back up machine.  When he got it, we put the EX2 coil on the SE and all the falsing issues went away.  So I am going to send my stock slimline coil back to Minelab and get a new EX2 coil for my SE.

Its maybe just our mineralized soil here that messes with the slimline coil, I am not 100% sure.  However, when he did the switch, his exact words were "A night and day difference".  I was running a 10 x 14" coil this weekend, however it is going back because it didn't get anymore depth Vs. The stock coil.  I did get my oldest silver and first silver quarter this weekend, so it wasn't all bad  ;D

Too sweet for words! I love me some silver!!

Way to go,

I tend to get a decent amount of falsing. I don't have any reference point other than when I had my Quattro. I guess I got a similar amount of falsing with that machine too. This last weekend at the old homesite I was getting a lot more falsing with the 7.5" coil than with the stock 10". That was because of all the iron in the ground. When I switched to the 10" I just got more nulling.

WTG Storm, that is how it's done buddy! I've had this little feeling of "How the heck did you guys walk over this?" anytime I've found a silver quarter...........all of which were 3 inches or less. Congrats!

Great silver coin, congrats on that nice keeper.
Keep em coming and thanks for sharing your success!!

Smiles!
