......yes I thought I had a good one today in AC. I found it in the wetsand.....but it wasn't to be (18KGE) I hunted for about 2 hours....a fellow club member found a beautiful 18k 34 inch (27 gram) gold necklace and religious pendant in the same area on Saturday....unfortunately lightning didn't strike twice for me....oh and speaking of lightning......severe thunderstorms were forecast for the area this afternoon but they luckily passed offshore..... by the way....here are the pics.....HH.....Brian

Hate it for you. I told the tale of my fools gold several weeks ago. I thought I had at least 3 good pieces till I got home and put on my eyes only to find everything was plated.

Got to love those cheapos. Kind of like that feeling you get when you almost fall backwards in a chair. A great rush for a millisecond.

Sounds like your club partner hit paydirt though. Thats a bunch of 18k that he found!

I feel your pain. I just had three different pieces with diamonds tested. All junk. I also went to a buyer with 2 pieces of good gold and real diamonds and he offered $68. for both. Yeah the diamonds are small but geez I know I could get at least $100. for the gold alone at midwest. Very discouraging. So even the real stuff is hard to sell sometimes.
