Actually, my headstone is simple...but it's what I wanted.

At the top is my name & date of birth. Gotta know who's buried there, ya know.

My date of death is blank for right now...'cause I ain't dead yet...LOL

And then I had 2 things put on my headstone..........the two accomplishments in my life that I want to be remembered for:

On the bottom left is an engraving of my police badge. And, on the bottom right is a Navy anchor with the inscription "Vietnam Era Veteran".

I'll be buried next to my parents...back in Enid, OK. So, when people ask me if I'm ever going to go back to Enid to live, I always truthfully reply "Eventually".

Geez, I hope this doesn't sound gruesome. Didn't mean it to be.

Of course, now I have to figure out a way to get my metal detector buried with me.....LOL

Gypsy, the tree trunk stone is for "the woodsmen of America", whenever we are going for a Sunday drive, my Mother-in-law is always looking and asking if we see any tree trunks in the cemetary.

i went to ireland a few years back with a mini mission from my pop find some headstones with the family name on it. well up near bellmullet co. mayo i did just that i found his name on a stone from 1917 well i took pop last year to ireland and got a pic of him at his stone which by the way is in 1 of the more remote parts of irl it does not even have a bar or a post office. looking at your pics got me thinking of it.
