Hey Jeff,

Man those old ballfields are killer. ;D Prolab69 and I have pounded one in our area and its been so productive. :D Everytime we think its hunted out. We find something everytime we go. Large Cents, Barber Dimes, IH pennies, V nickles, buffalo nickles, Gold. We found all those things and more and we know people have hit it harder before us too. Hunt that area good!!

Nice finds !

Keep @ it and HH!!

Nice finds Jeff,

I would hit those woods surrounding that site. You may have already. If you haven't there gotta be a few oldies in them.

Nice Buffalo Jeff, for some reason I have yet to find a nickel at all. Clad is always good for buying batteries and stuff, at least you got out and had fun!

I think Oldest find here so far was a Barber Quarter (Forget Date)
would have to search 6 years of records.
was in the sand in the Ballfield on the right Foreground
at the Back of the Field is a Stone wall that Drops off a good distance.
by guess a former trash dump. DKinPA would know.
I believe this is his former Hometoewn.
I'm sure there are coins down there though.
Far left in the Back, I think was a Dance Hall.

field is usually good for silver & your right.
Never Hunted out

The buffalo for some reason was Breaking up Bad.
I almost left it.

Don't use Alkalines. The Packs are too big the door won't close
without Duct tape so I don't use anything but Recharbles.
Change these days always gets Used though.

Hard to say, maybe 15 Hours
They seem to be getting less each time.

Glad to see you got to get out...looks like you did pretty good! That buffalo would have made my day! ;D

Good deal Jeff :)

What detector did you use??

So the Sovereign GT has a problem with holding alkaline batteries (they're too big and the cover doesn't close)?? (or is yours the older sov.)? If so - have they fixed the problem on the GT model do you know?

I'm still looking for my next new detector and that was/is one of them I've been considering (it's old school like the cz20 and like the machines of the past w/o all the worthless bells/whistles crap) and is why I've been considering it but if it has this problem - it's now moved down the list of possibilities for me.

I have the XS 2 Pro
I would think it's fixed on the later models,
but just a guess.

very nice

not much of a front leg on that buffalo, can you rub the date out? Still a nice day to be out and about.

No too Grainy. I tried an eraser but no luck.
The last number appears to be a 9 But I wouldn't say it is 100%

Wheats and a buffalo nickle make for a pretty decent day ... glad you got out for a while ~ Jimmy

Thanks Again everyone !

on the Buffalo

I'm leaning towards 36 or 39
after playing with the Image in Microsoft Photo
& InfanView
