OUR FIRST FIND!!!! AX OR MAUL

My boyfriend and I have looked and looked and finally today with 6hrs of searching we found our very first Indian artifact. Not sure if this is called an ax head or maul but very cool and we were thrilled. The end is still crisp and sharp. Found in NW Missouri

I find dating a axe hard just not much info that I can find on them.

I agree, can't find much either.

The only thing I know about axes is that the full grooved axes are supposed to be older than the 3/4 Groove axes... But that's just about all i know of them as far as dating them...
