It was maybe my last chance to get out before it gets cold, the whether was not to bad, the temperature was about 32 F. I dressed for the adventer, my dog was happy to go once more. I went to an old fair grounds that was started in 1855 time period, the field was really wet from all the rain we have had and the field had being plowed. Well it was a little hard walking with ten pounds of mud on each boot, my dog was getting tired as well, he just kept on my heels. Here are a couple finds, the silver 5 cent was laying on top of the ground, you got to like it when that happens. The 1859 cent is for some reason a common find for me, I must have 30 or forty of them, if you find a brass 1859 cent, it starts at $7000.00. The round copper thing is a door knob I think, It could have been on a brass bed post. I can't wait to get back out there, I think the farmers think I am nuts walking in the muddy field, well just maybe there is a good reason for detecting wet plowed dirt that once was an old fairground where people lost silver coins and who knows what.HH
