Well today silvergurl went out to the woods again for a few hours hoping to find some silver. We walked all over the woods but I was the only one to find a coin today, its an awesome 1903 IH and its my 3rd on for the year. I also found an embossed Pepsi bottle that was still in tacked so I brought it home with me, anybody know about how old it is? It's the size of an embossed coke bottle. Sometime after I found the IH we were hunting along when I saw some yellowjackets exiting a big old log, they poured out faster than anything I have ever seen. Before I knew what was happening I was stung in my gut, I looked down while I was moving quickly away and saw that little bugger trying to sting me like 10 times (I lifted my shirt away from my skin but he kept sting it over and over). Then like a min later I felt another sting on my forearm (by this time we were a good 50-60 feet away and I thought we were out of range but nope that bugger stung me 4 or 5 times before I could brush him off). The stings weren't as bad as a bee sting but after like 5 min it hurt like a son of a gun!!!! :tongue3:

Thanks for lookin and happy huntin everybody.

wasp spray long range type --2 cans

Hey TF.....great finds. Like both the IH and the old Pepsi bottle.....like one of the previous posts, I've not seen one of them.
Beautiful.
I was hunting on a hill in Korea, scraping the area of leaves, etc, to get as near the surface as possible, and backed into a
hornet's nest. Here, they call them, "mal-bul." They are the killer wasp variety. Last year, on the news, watched about the
deaths of two different individuals.
Well, backed about 1 meter from the nest, and 3 of the wasps hit me almost at the same time, on my right shoulder. Knew
that it was either a yellow jacket or a wasp, but didn't check it out before exiting the area. They didn't chase me, being more
territorial then I thought they would be. My shoulder went numb, and I told my hunting partner what had happened so he
could observe me, and to call 1-1-9 if I began to go into convulsions. Shoulder got red hot, but numb at the same time.
I sat down, and waited about 20 minutes. I could feel the poisen working up the shoulder. But, stopped at the top of the shoulder, and then the fire went away, and they just began to hurt. So, figured I was out of the woods. I did have a can of 4 feet wasp spray, so got on the hill across the path from the wasp nest, and began to apply the spray. Hurt them real bad, but hope that I killed enough of them to cause them to disband, before they really hurt an unsuspecting hiker/child.
Sorry you took some licks. But glad they left you both up and standing.
