So my little bro went back up to the field that never failed after the point poachers made their rounds last week.... and they missed a lil sumthin sumthin.

Look at this beauty.

I'm thinkin that's a clovis.

That is really cool, Steve. What do you think it is about your field, that it would be used for 10,000 years! That is awesome! Makes a person wonder if there is anything like that near them.

Man I don't know but what ever it was... Protection on the bluff, closeness to water source, WHATEVER it was it kept people there for thousands of years because we're finding examples from Paleo through atleast woodland period in the 3-5 acre field.

Take it to a college and let someone look at it. Clovis, Folsom, and Plainview look a lot alike, but no matter which one it is, it is a really nice "treasure" you have there.....

Here, I ran a line just around the outside edge of what looks like the flute in my book. Can we see a scan of the otehr side?

Yea I'm going to try to hit up my little bro and get a picture of the other side. I went up to the field to day and had a pretty decent haul. I'll start a new thread when I get some pics taken of what I found. and as soon as I get a pic of the other side I'll put it up for you guys!!!!!!
