Palmer? Found 10-27-09

The point found today is the one on the left. I included one found on 10-18-09 because it was found at the same site. There is some similarity in the material. These were found at a drained pond but not the same pond as the bifurcated base found yesterday.

Not sure if this is a Palmer. The length would have been 1 3/8” long without tip damage. It is 1 1/8” wide and slightly over 1/4” thick. The ground base, length, and serrated blade make me lean towards a Palmer.

The pressure flaking converging toward the center line and the serration are significant.

Both of your links just solidify my point in my opinion. The Palmers in your links look exactly like his point while the Charleston look nothing like it. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
