Panning in Thomsom Ga area

Hello to all, This is on the bucket list. I have pan for gold for years, but only by pay dirt. I just love doing it. So I thought I would put this out there. Two of us will be traveling to Thomsom GA. from Florida. All I want is a flake just so I have seen it in my life time. Any one pan in this area, did you found a flake.
