Hi Treasure Hunters,
Here are some photos of a couple of city park hunts.
The first is Osceola, Arkansas's Florida Park on Saturday afternoon
2/19/2011.

The second is from a short hunt this afternoon at Caraway, Arkansas Park.
Not much taken from either park, but had fun anyway. I'll have to start
doing my park hunts while the kids are in school, because they surrounded
me Saturday wanting to help me hunt. Some closed in on me so much I
hardly had room to swing my coil. I finally made my excuses and said goodby,
and started for home.
I love kids, but it's hard to hunt or even show them anything when they want
to take my shovel and dig themselves. Especially when they are too small to
handle a shovel. Then they wanted to hear the beeps from my detector when
they put the coil near their coat buttons. I'm just too much of a softee to run them off. HH, Yard Digger

I'm not laughing at you Just remembering some of my experiences!!!!! I find giving up a few coins helps sometimes, Especially fresh out of the dirt you give them away to the kids then they run away excited then up to their parents to show them.

Then there parents tell them don't go over there any more and bug him and I get some really bad looks sometimes!!! I can hear what they say most of the time, If i remember to put My hearing aid in,

Once in a while I will have a parent come up with there kids and watch me and ask a few questions I always try to give the kids with them something I just dug up!! Its always a big hit!!! so far when the kids show up with the parents they always say thank you before the parent reminds them to!!!!

There's been times I've had them ask for what I found. I will usually give it to them providing it's not silver. Nice haul! :icon_thumright:

I did let them keep a couple coins that where laying on top of the ground after I pointed them out to them, but they didn't go away and there were no parents in sight. Thanks for the reply. :hello: Yard Digger
