Passed 9000 coins for year...

After two days of taking a break...after realizing I was sick while hunting last time out...also got a chance to rest the back....got back out and my cold stopped me about me hour short of time i planned on staying... 79 coins nothing unusual...hopefully back out tomorrow...

I have saved every coin..when I hit 10k will post a pic...and I am tired too! Some people do not dig pennies...I continue to...it does test the patience...but today's penny signal led to a coin spill of 19 coins....16 pennies, 2 dimes and 1 quarter...believe me that helped...especially today fighting off this cold...

Well they are separated in plastic buckets...the penny one cracked! The biggest nightmare is....they have not been cleaned! I did not want to take a picture of 10,000 cleaned coins...I want it to show all of them the way they came out of the ground...Nat also I have been watching/responding to your posts....you have done a great job with those rings! Maybe if he has not yet... Kirk will put you on his top 25 list....

On average I would say one per 10 digs...but that is counting bottlecaps too. Not sure if you have run into that newer squared pulltab...the rounded part is squared off...that particular one is giving me a little trouble even with tone id on with the dfx... for nickels I usually get a signal/vdi reading of 19 or 20...even if it bounces stays between 16-21...so does this squared tab! Normally my pulltabs are very easy to id with dfx...they sit on a reading of 22, it they bounce they usually bounce up to 26. Also usually a broken signal...squared has given me a solid signal....

I actually keep a running total on another forum so that will be no problem...

I used to keep the whole coin counter on all 4 forums I post...became a pain...I would forget to update one...so just do it on one forum...thanks for asking...

I dig usually when I am looking for nickels or gold rings...there are times when I can try and ignore them...but may have missed some of the 19 gold/silver rings I dug this year....well at least the gold ones...

Thanks Merf...when I got the dfx the first thing I did was try to get a good idea which signals/vdi readings were junk...not 100% but certain numbers are usually trash and I have used this system...I am sure it has cost me a few things...but beats digging trash all the time!
