🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Pastel Paintings For Id Help

Got this pastel painting of a bridge and one of a castle. Looks like both done by the same artist. They are on thin paper which appears that maybe the paper
was in a book type, maybe painted on and then torn out..not sure? The writing says "The Bridge On The _____ _____. I cannot make out what the last two words are.
One could be location and one artist? All help and opinions in id'ing appreciated..... Also included was a portrait painting which I will make a separate post..

The second one looks like it might be Chepstow Castle in Monmouthshire, Wales. This illustration from ‘Curiosities of Great Britain’ (pub. 1845):

And a very Merry Xmas to you also Red-Coat. Again just amazed how fast you nail these. Looking at the print you posted and looking at mine, mine is definitely
not a print which makes me wonder if by chance I may have the original by whom ever the artist was. The two pastels are by the same artist. I've attached closeups
of the painting for opinions... Thanks again & all the best in the new year....
