🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Portrait Painting For Id Help

Reminds me of 18th century portrait paintings. Oil on canvas with a signature appears to be F. Eccles and dated but hard to make out the date exactly.
I took different angles of signature & date hoping this may help. All help and opinions welcome. Thanks to all in advance.....

I don’t know the artist, but this appears to be a primitive copy of the upper part of Thomas Gainsborough’s portrait of Sophia Charlotte Digby, Lady Sheffield, painted in 1876:

There are many contemporary and later copies of the work as a head-and-shoulders portrait, but Gainsborough’s original work was full-length:

Truly amazing as looks like you nailed it once again. Now it would be nice to find out you the artist is, I've attached some close ups of the date which may help.

...Notice at the hands on your copy ... very amateurish ... also, the eyes are out of proportion with the shape of the face ... overall, looks to have been a poor attempt by a first-year art student ...
