Petrified Wood? Tooth? Bone? What Say You?

Found this. Not sure if it is wood, bone, or a tooth? When I look under a microscope, I think I see veins running lengthwise. But then, maybe it's my warped imagination. What's your guess? Thx!

Doesn't look like either bone or tooth (still essentially bone) to me. Petrified wood?

Your item looks very much like petrified wood. I am not that familiar with the different types petrified wood in your area, but I believe Palm wood is occasionally found in Florida.
