Photo copied my ID (update)

I do not know if some of you folks remember me posting about a local bank that copied my drivers license and said it was policy for large coin drop off. I was worried I was getting hit with a suspicious behavior report or something of the likes...
Well to get to the point...

My mother arrived at her work with a note on her desk from a local detective. Once they finally gets a hold of my mother they ask if she knows me. Of course she does, bc I am her son. They then tell her I am a lead in a coin theft and that the above local bank reported me to the authorities. She then explained what I do(CRH) and showed them the paper trail of the coins I had legally purchased(since most of them came from her branch.)

So far I havent heard anything from the police, so I guess I am all clear!

I am not sure if I should be insulted by the branch turning me in or what?

I'd be quite insulted and would most likely stop doing business (or do 30K dumps daily) with that branch and let them know that you weren't any too happy with their policies.

I suppose. I mean, it wasnt the first time I dropped off halves there. They were all clad halves. Was done with my girlfriend. I told them I was a collector as well. And what stupid thief would dump coin at a bank they have an account at?

I'd close the account ASAP. Lord only knows when they'll call the fuzz again on you. Dumping mass amounts of coin is annoying enough without having to worry about Johnny Law questioning your actions.

well hopefully that will be the end of the matter as far as you are concerned and you can continue CRHing without any more problems or hassles from the bank or the police and the police can focus their attention on catching the real thief.

Inform the bank you are displeased with their suspicions toward you. But also tell them you wish to keep your account (dump only there). Common man can't do anything without getting questioned anymore. Detective Butthead should go to wall street and catch some real crooks.

i was just joshin i don't advise doin that I would honestly just bring up how you felt to the branch manager and its also kinda hard to understand how an investigator could ask your mother if she knew you.... um some people.

thats so stupid on the banks part but cant blame them for being cautious, I have had a branch manager asking me a boat of questions before he relectantly took my dumps.

As offended as I would be this opens up an opportunity for a great practical joke. I don't have an idea as to what kind of prank you could pull but I just feel as though this is an opportunity. Also be careful who you trust these days.

sounds like the coin theft part was a bs story but it is possible. I have had an incident involving questions from a detective myself. Luckily most often detectives are promoted because of brains and can tell liars and thieves from a hobbyist.

I would consider an interview with the detective one of the more interesting experiences to be gained from CRH'ing.

And you haven't done a thing that's criminal, so they can't touch you.

What is the difference between photocopying people's ID rather than copying down all your important info?
