Picture of Adolf Hitler?

I recently acquired a German soldier's photo album from the 1930s.
One page had the date 1936 on it and this photo.
I know the Germans had the Olympics in 1936 and these guys look like they are in athletic uniforms of some sort.
The back is written Grunberg a date I'm not sure and 1936
It the guy with the stache Hitler?
I think the face looks similar.
I know it's probably a long shot.
Not sure how popular that kind of mustache was back then or why he would be out of uniform.
What do yall think?

Hitler wasn't in the military in 1936. He was a politician. Technically his uniform would have been a corporal (mustered out in 1918) until he declared himself Chancellor.

Grunberg, interestingly, was an enemy of Hitler and a member of the banned German Communist Party (KPD) in 1936. He was executed in Berlin in 1942.

No way that's Hitler. In 1936 he was the "King" of Germany. He would have had on his tan jacket and visor hat and there would be a dozen SS guards all around. That guy in the pic is wearing civilian clothes. Gary

The man standing behind with hands on his hips looks more like him to me. I’ve seen pics of him standing like that before. IMO.

That style of moustache was actually popular once upon a time. Charlie Chaplin, Oliver Hardy, just to name two of the top of my head, both sported a toothbrush stache.

These are footballers, that is not hitler. Try searching the web for FC Grünberg 1936 or TSV Grünberg 1936, better luck finding a picture on the net. Likely just a sports club back in the day. Now if you find a website for TSV Grünberg then email them the picture and ask if they could ID anyone in the pic.

Sorry but it doesn’t look like him at all. Pretty common mustache throughout Europe at that time. Cool historical stuff either way.
