Piece of old bottle

Found among obsidian shards. Is it my runaway imagination, or did someone start working this piece of old bottle glass?

Hard to tell ... does look like it but glass does strange things when broken

I saw a pic of an arrowhead made from blue glass by an aborigine in Australia once.

To me it doesn't look broken, it looks worked.

Glass arrowheads were found near Ft. Kaskaskia in IL that were proto-historic in age. Also, I read where Indians out west would climb telegraph poles and take the insulators and make arrowheads out of them. Gary

Somewhere I have an arrowhead made from the same color glass but it was found somewhere else.

I have a piece of glass that I found at a site that had been worked. Not in a position to post a photo. ISHI made arrowheads out of insulator glass also.

i have found many glass shards that look worked but are not. yours is an older kind of glass, so you have that going for you...but remember too that post contact natives went quickly to guns and trade points if they could. i would think that area would be important to know and the context may help too.

I found a black glass scrapper that there was no doubt about it being chipped on in a late 1700s site. So, their out there. Cool find.

I don’t know the correct term, but this area probably saw mixed occupation, meaning the Indians were still there while the miners worked.
