Pillots view, FA-18 Hornet

[BosnMate]

If you want to see what it's like in an F-18 landing on an aircraft carrier, check this out. Note how small the ship is. It also shows a catapult shot, and that flying strap on his oxygen mask at 1:58 isn't from wind, that the g forces moving that strap. Check it out.

I was Pre-Commissioning Crew on USS Carl Vinson (Plank Owner), and we carrier qualified the FA/18. Great plane. Still like Tomcats better though.

Great video, thanks. Artie

prefer the corsair as a carrier aircraft

Great video, but I am wondering, If a drone can land on a carrier unassisted, why can't they use that same electronics to land an F-18 unassisted? Yes, the drone has passed the test. Frank
