Went up to the 624 crash site on Sat., the usual plane parts. I always bring them home and clean them in a solution, I let them soak a few days and then glass bead them. When I cleaned out my bucket I found this bracelet in the bottom. It must've been lodged inside one of the plane parts and came out with the mud. Didn't even know I had it till last night ! Also found this padlock, all beat to hell but still locked. View attachment 1292053 View attachment 1292055 View attachment 1292056

Foilfinder, imagine a tractor-trailer load of beer cans passed through a wood chipper, spread out in an area 200x600 ft., mix in some steel, brass, silver, and gold, cover it with 6 inches of rotten leaves and dirt and there you go. Always keeping in mind that people have been going through it for the last 60 years or so.

I got to "work" the flight 93 site a coupla days after it happened.
We were looking for "jet fuel" in the ground. Never found any, (go figger).
The "main" impact crater was only the size of a school bus.
I will leave it at that. (hint)

When I dig this site I put little orange flags on my hits, I'll put out 20 and then go back and dig. It can take 3 hours on just a 10x10 foot spot just to be thorough. Lately, I've just been digging 50 cent hits.

I haven't hunted anywhere below where the trucks are parked. Too much Large Electrical Scrap.

it is hard to tell & remember but ,
are you aware in the General area of my Circle

Ud.jpg

there is a Ghost town/Camp ?

Rich & I hit it.
I got a Chinese cash coin and a Box of carbide Lamp Reflectors.

images.jpg
among other relics.
of course the box the Reflectors were in was non-existent but the fact they were stacked
and buried together it was obvious.

Not sure if it was an Original Miners Village.
Or railroad Workers Camp
but the Chinese Cache Coin suggests the latter to me.

only thing visible in the area are very simple ancient looking stone foundations, that appeared to be put together in a hurry

I've seen those Jeff, you mean the flattened buildings? Corrugated tin covered with tar ? They seemed to me to be storage sheds, I saw old oil filters and so forth. Just past them I found half of a 10 point rack shed, must've been a big buck.

Here's a newspaper photo of crash debris hanging on the trees, look closely and you can see the breaker in the background. View attachment 1293093 Ghostly, huh ?

It's all in what you believe I guess, and how you want to conduct yourself as an expression of your belief. If you think about it, nearly every old thing we find was once owned by someone who is now dead. Whether they died naturally or by violence is , to me at least, irrelevant.

The personal items are rather chilling. Especially the ring. Although I would hunt if given the chance. Nice

I'm actually more into the plane parts, I so much want to find one of the engine cylinder heads.
