Plastic roll of quarters with gold tone.

I picked this roll of quarters up this morning at the bank.

The wrapping is made of plastic and I was told the roll is likely from the mint.

Anyhow, the two end coins have gold toning.

I have seen rainbow toning but never just gold.

Any ideas on how the quarters got this way?

Whether they were stolen or they just realized they are Still only worth a quarter

I have a couple gold plated quarters that I got in change.

They look like regular clad quarters from the side

More oxygen on the ends, so, more toning by the plastic.

Just toning. Also, they didn't come from the mint like that. Courier company wrapped them.
