Hi guys, any idea what this is? Found near a creek in Chapel Hill, NC via metal detector under about 6 inches of soil. It's 5 inches long and 2 inches wide. There was a small circular piece of wood in the round hole on the "bottom" of the object which leads me to believe this was attached to wood at some point. Maybe a wooden handle? Thanks!

It could be a caster wheel frame
