Please help with this bottle

This was given to me in a collection of old bottles. I'm usually on the arrowhead forum but am also a bottle dump digger too. I can't get the glass stopper off and was wondering what kind of bottle this is to know what the liquid may be. Thanks.

The liquid could be literally anything, try running theneck of the bottle under warm water so that the bottle expands making removal of the stopper easier, or try spraying some WD40 around the edges and letting it soak in a few times. It's a pharmacy bottle that would have contained a powder or pill form of medicine....
