Keep your eyes to the ground. Something will appear eventually and when it does, it will likely be more obvious.

I wonder about that sometimes on some of the iffy ones. Or could it have been a child just pecking at it while watching mom or dad? Or someone new to learning the skill? Or someone that never got the hang of it but was exiled from their tribe so they had to make do with what they could manage? I’d give anything to be able to time travel and go back and observe, I’d probably fit in perfectly and never want to return.
