Possible Trigger Guard From Musket?

I live on a farm that the house dates back to the mid 1800’s. My house is less than 4 miles as a crow flies from a civil war battle field and 2 two miles from a confederate camp site where 1200 confederate soldiers camped for two days before the battle. I found this item below and trying to identify if it is the back half of a trigger guard. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Being pinned hints of an early piece.
Could have been a rifle too.

If it’s brass, it may be from an Enfield Rifle or Musketoon, I believe they had pinned trigger guards

You definitely have a piece of trigger guard. Off what gun, I don't know.

Looks like the front portion of a trigger from a Kentucky Rifle. Does the side not shown have flats filed in it?

No. Not a pan for a flintlock.
Brass won't throw the spark,being the spark is molten steel from hardened steel.
" Ear" that holds a pan would be located differently. With pan curved towards rear of gun.

Well I see flats in the bow, but the rest isn’t shaped like any Kentucky Rifle Trigger Guard I’ve ever seen. At this point I would think it’s a trigger guard from an early Fowler or musket. Whatever it is, it’s a very cool find.
