~~~Pounded Cellar Hole~~~Squeaked out a Few~~~
[johnnyblaze]
Got out to CT to hit up a cellar i knew was already hit but you never know what they missed..
It was a gorgeous day to be in the woods.No bugs or Bee's and not 1 Tick on me
The site was still overgrown a bit i didn't take a pic of the cellar because it was buried in vegetation..
Got a cool Railroad button similar to the one i found last year..
1880 IH.
The usual buckles,bullets and musketballs.
I would have to say my favorite find of the day was a large hand forged hinge
I think it's Colonial it sure appears it.I looked hard for another one i would have used them for a door.
Freakin groundhog skull the teeth grow all the way into the skull..
Well have fun out there
That button is really nice Blaze! Not bad for a hunted site bud. Are you sure that's not a beaver skull. Looks very similar but I've never seen a groundhog skull
Nice finds, the RR button is great and that buckle is interesting.
[Gaspipe]
Nice hunt. Those strap hinges are awesome. I always take them home no matter how long they are.
[Old Dude]
I like it all JB....would be hard to pick a favorite. Glad you got out and the bugs stayed home!
Great time of year.
The RR button, and the "flowery" thing are my favorites.
Looks like no shortage of rocks down there either, (Note to self, take more site pics.)
[mihmar79]
Great hunt JB & I really like the RR button. Great pics as usual. Is that a 45-70 cal. bullet? HH, Q.
sometimes the hunted out sites are the best,
[dig kzoo]
Nice group of finds
Nice patina on the Indian Head and the Railroad Button. That hinge is pretty cool.
I'm voting Banner on the Groundhog skull in the Honorary Freaky Banner Category
As you read this post you will feel the need to watch Groundhog Day... over and over....
[Greylock]
Not bad for a site that's been hit hard. The railroad button is a good score.
[ANTIQUARIAN]
Great pics of the site Johnny, love the rock wall and the view up the old dirt road!
The Railroad Button is a very cool find ... but I really like this little piece!
Nice digs.
Its been awhile but seen one beaver you never forget what they look like. I'm hitting the banner button too, I like MMan's idea.
My favorites are the beaver, flowery thing with the suspender buckle (I love those ornate things from those kind of sites) and of course I have a special place in my heart for Indians.
My vote is in!
I hope we are talking about the same kind of Beaver
If a man squeaks one out in the forest and no one else is there...does it make a sound?
Mine do and release an added flavor after a night of Bud Lights and Whitecastles.
