Any idea of what this pin could be from?

Seems to be made of brass. Looks like some sort of medical type item in the flyin' Icarus dudes hand.

Using a white background makes for bad pictures with an automatic focus camera. The lens doesnt adjust properly and the object is usually too dark. Try using a blue background and outdoor light, flash off. A good clear pic of the back may help. Interesting find.
