man if you guys aren't getting color you need to find some different type of deposits to work...not talking crap I just never ever work that hard for gold especially for more than two guys. looks cool but, wow....

Its just like swinging your bleeper there buddy you do a lot of bleepin before you hit gold! we are just digging following a lead.

that little vein 1/4 wide can have as much gold in a 12 inch square, as you are holding in your hand, when we find it like that it makes the diggings easier. im just glad Im not prospecting it through the mnt !

And the guys are just making sure they get a little inheritance out of the deal. I can keep my eye on them this way keep em out of trouble.

Yesterday we did I think 12 mile round trip walkin over blow sand, got stuck in 4x4, got cooked by the sun, all so we can make sure there was no mining or potential minerlizations on the mnt.
but that is prospecting for gold it involves many hours of walking n digging holes for nothing, that's why I do hard rock we find I think a little more than we could placering in the desert.
if we were up north it would be a much differant story and I think that we could fill the bottom of a pan with placer in no time providing we had decent places to dig the bigger the boulders the better!


We always try to be as safe as we can Kevin, and take precautions like bracing, when ever we have doubts about our wall being competent we fix it, ive been pinched and slabbed a few times over the years, as this kind of work just has its fair share of accidents.
and will eventualy wear a body out ! This still beats the hell out of running my hot kettle for a living just wish the pay was the same !!!!!!!!!

Tell you what...you guys have my respect. I'm a lifelong concrete contractor, and I know about real work, and you guys are doing it. If the reward was based on the effort, you'd find a bucketfull....LOL. I was down at 29 Palms a couple of winters ago..stayed the night there. I imagine the heat, in the summer is incredible.
