I would suggest that this is a historic era point. After the Europeans arrived the natives began salvaging iron scraps for their arrow points as well as glass. The quality of Knapped stone tools deteriorated. Cool find. 99 percent of stone artifacts are pre Colombian.

Welcome to TreasureNet. From the picture it is had to tell if it is recent or old, but I have quartz arrowheads I have found here in Maryland. All of mine were found in central Maryland in plowed farm fields so they are all old. So it is possible that yours is as well.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Not the biggest Native American guy but thats definetely not a modern fake.

That's a really nice artifact recovery.......good eye.

I dont know much into detail about these artifacts. I saw it and first thought it was plastic until I tapped it against another rock. Didnt know there were clear arrowheads like this until today when I looked them up. I would like to think its old, was really in the middle of no where land.

If you found it in the middle of nowhere and it being an arrowhead, odds are its real and thousands of years old. Congrats, its a nice one.

I would always assume that if you found it (especially in the middle of nowhere) that it will be old and authentic.

Congrats on a great old find!

yours looks to be made of white chalcedony, a very common desert stone in your area...nice find, historic era most likely.
