Question What Would you do ?

I'm just wondering guys, What if your metal detecting in a park and some jerk saw you and throws some quarter and dimes and pennies in your path detecting and says there now let me see if you detect that.
What would you do?
because today at Mariposa park some Smart Arss did that to me .

I would go for the quarters, My XLT loves them, that is after I was sure he wasn't using them to get me in stricking range!

I have had people do this to me at the beach.

You blow it off. What are your options? You give him a good piece of your mind and educate him about how detectorists clean up parks, find missing items for poor souls, and help old ladies across the street. No, you will never change him. The less energy you waste on him the better. I know it's no fun to be judged by others, even by jerks, but don't let his actions and opinions, upset you. Then check his discards for silver. Just a really humble opinion.

I don't really lose my temper anymore but that sounds like a situation that would push me to the edge, so it wouldn't matter if it was a radio shack or my explorer. The thing is I'm still young enough, big enough, and strong enough, that the people who do crap like that would probably think twice. (because they are cowards who pick and choose who to bother)

I Have had people drop Change
Don't know if they thought I Needed it or what ?

IF I see them drop it, I Turn 45 Degrees
& Ignore it.

I Have had kids pick it back up & Drop it in my path again.
I Turn 90 Degrees & Walk the other way & Keep doing
it till they tire.

If they leave it lay I Pick it up after they Leave.

No need to get rude In my opinion.

Perhaps they just want to see if it realy Works.

One time I Detected it & Picked it up in front
of a Kid who Dropped it. He immediately told me it was his.
So I Gave it back. This is why I Try to ignore them.
Don't want to Play games.
