Came across a old cellar hole deep in the woods today.
It has a central stone structure in the middle which I believe to be the fireplace.
A quick hunt turned up this key and an 1876 Indian Head.

Anyone know a general age of the key?

Thanks and HH.
Will

That key apears to be around the same age as the IH.

Very nice finds,

Keep @ it and HH!!

Nice key, my grand mother had a key like that to her house which was built in the early 1900's.

An old slelton key. Don't know it's age. Believe it or not, My grandmother still uses them in her house. She's 94 and house is a little older. Nice finds

Radarwill,

I think you guys are rite on with the 1900 date.
Had another 1 hour scession today after work and found these.
The melted metal is much harder that any lead I have ever dug.
Another alloy maybe, silver?

It could be a melted tin can, great finds by the way.
