Wooo hooo! I dove the pillar dollar wreck today. Saw lots of ballast, barrel hoops and staves, ships spikes, and a beautiful cutlass that's firmly cemented to the bottom. When I came up and checked my phone I had several exciting messages from a fellow treasure hunter in the bahamas. He has hit on something special. He has stumbled on a large cash of 18th century arms. I could see parts of at least 10 muskets. He is fired up and invited me to come and hunt. He does a lot of brush beating for bottles and stumbled on these surface finds. His machine is in the states so I'll be bringing a couple excals and an ace 350 for this dig. He says that some random scraping in the area has turned up lots of canon balls and grape shot too. I tracked a pirate camp down the last time there and found 2 cannons at my site. These sites could be associated with jack rackem or benjerman hornigold. Henry avery was here and also vane, so who knows. Could also be a stash of arms left by devoux after his attack and liberation of Nassau from spanish occupation. Whatever the case I plan on digging up the truth. Here we go !!! Back to treasure hunting mode. With one week of fishing to go here in the states, it's time to start to plan my bahama hunts. This is a dream site private property with permission granted and no one for miles. Time to do work. Wooo hooo.

Freezing rain to rain is going to switch to snow again tomorrow.
History out the window of any European activity only goes back to about the mid eighteen hundreds...
Anything prior is buried well under layers of loam /debris. And off limits mostly.
