It’s that time of the year again... Up early to enjoy the day before having to morph into a fish in order to breathe. Sooo humid. Can’t stand it anymore. 14 years of hating summer.

Oh yeah. Sherman’s march not far. Back in the late 70s I think, was told that a detectorist found a cache of confederate gold along the route. Lots of accounts of people hiding their stuff as they got word that Sherman’s troops were on their way. However, it wasn’t as bad for the locals here as it was for them in the low country.

I notice you don't have a detector listed on your info... do you metal detect your area ?

I don’t list them but I have several. Been detecting almost everyday for 15 years except summer months. Lately about every third day in the morning and evening. But just a couple hours instead of the normal 5/6.

Good morning everybody. SC, summer is heaven for me. I love when it crawls past 85. My brother wants to move to North Carolina, and myself to Georgia. I like the heat, the relics, the bottles, and lack of huge deciduous forests.
