Was planning to go fishing tomorrow with a friend of mine on a lake a couple miles away, but it fell through due to predicted thunder storms. No worries. I went out last night at 2:00 on my lake and caught a short sixteen inch and an 18-1/2" walleye trolling a Shad Rap. Home before dusk. Just keep the 18-1/2" for dinner (or was that breakfast?), which I just ate, which was delicious.

Man, I grew up on this lake and the walleye fishing has never been so good! Caught 42 so far this season with 14 being 18"+ keepers. Better than lobster IMO.

I just don't agree with most of the lyrics in punk songs. Frankly, The folks that listen to it kinda creep me out. At least the guys do anyway.

Every now and then I do find one that's kinda catchy, such as this one.

I made a dumb mistake today.

Our family, rather my mom, decided that she wanted goats. Great. So I spent all day down in the barn with them cleaning out places for goats to sleep. They took a trailer into town to get some fencing wire after that. When they got home, they had huge 100 lb. rolls of wire. We would roll them down the trailer, and onto the ground. You wouldn't want to get run over by one, because of the weight.

I was walking up the trailer to get another roll, when one came down right towards me. I went to jump off the side of the trailer, but my jeans got caught on one little corner. I ripped my jeans down the side, fell four feet down, and hit the ground with the entire right side of my body, and STILL got run over by the roll. That hurt. So now I got a bruised hip, a scraped arm, a scraped elbow, a chunk of skin missing from my hand, and a headache from hitting my head. Plus my jeans are ripped. After sitting on the ground for a few seconds, I got up, and got right back to work, blood and all.


Next time I won't jump with jeans on.

Man you ain't kidding. I used to work with a Pacific Islander who would get down on his hands and knees to do edge form or fill in column capitals or other holes in concrete deck forms for forty hours a week. 76 years old last time I saw him and still working.
