I can believe it....Leonard Cohen was a perfectionist and he was greatly admired by other singers. He was originally from Montreal where I live.

There's lots of French Canadian singers I could post up but unless people understand French they wouldn't get it...lol.

Here's a French Canadian singer who did songs in English also. For some reason or other the women seem to go crazy for him don't know why.... :tongue3:

I've tried a lot, but not that one. My father was at Bragg, he was ordinance. Not sure of the years he was there but early 80s is a roundabout timeframe

Thanks for the walk down memory lane! A lot of those were my favorites while growing up. Different artists on some. And some of those I liked better. Especially liked Rock Me Gently and Sugar Sugar!

I posted a few pages ago that my favorite song by Lynyrd Skynyrd was Gimme Three Steps. There is a story behind that. When I was at Bragg, there was a bar called The Flaming Mug. My husband and I went there one night with some friends. I was very noticeably pregnant and my husband was very noticeably civilian. A service man came up to me and asked me to dance. I declined and he started flirting big time with me. My husband and a couple of our friends stood up. His chain wallet got stuck in the slats of the chair and it fell over and the bouncers proceeded to kick us all out. Long story, I know, but we changed the words to the song to be about The Flaming Mug and my name. LOL!

Maybe your dad recalls The Flaming Mug? Seems like everybody went there.

This is the 32 whaler !! Took most of the day to get it cleaned up and covered. Man I got behind while I was on my trip north and then my vacation. Still have the 42 foot hydrosport to fuel and wash. Fuel truck at noon today, should take 700 gallons !!
