Thanks for the heads-up, AARC. T'was so late at night, I forgot to click "Upload." Here's the photo.
An original civil war photo, made in 1865, showing the interior of Fort Sumter, Charleston SC, after the capture of that city by the yankees. The various huge artillery shells standing around the flagpole are unexploded yankee Parrott shells fired into the fort during the two-year-long bombardment by yankee Heavy Artillery cannons. The Confederates salvaged the gunpowder in those shells to re-use it against the yankees.

The old ladder top cut trick !! Slabed a "Willow Bustic" hard wood today. Its so hard and dense that I couldnt move the planks myself !!

IMG_0251.JPGIMG_0245.JPGthis one has been down since irma but couldnt be moved. So I set up the alaskan mill on it. The old girl had a deep red heart. Another protected species that cant be cut unless storm felled. Irma has been good to me !! Heres my helper R.J. !!IMG_0246.JPG

Oh Amazon, sometimes you're just silly.

Not much info on willow bustic. Traditionally it was used in home building in the carribiean. Fence posts, rafters, beams etc.etc. very rot resistant. 2 slabs that are bookend matched will make a beautiful trellis table 8 ft. Long. Check out the intense look of concentration on my boys face. Serious business this urban logging !!! Lol !

Suicide around an Old Farmhouse
The short tail critter went for the Extra Chunk Peanut Butter yesterday. It is called a short tailed Shrew.
The long tail rodent is a common mouse. I discovered it this morning. Same trap, same bait

Good show! Incidentally, I was re-setting my traps this morning - using colby-jack cheese, and my 10 year-old peanut butter
still works pretty good, too...! I alternate in my trapline...!
